Its been that long.....

I reprocessed one from duckadang last year, the veil and a new one from last year - lagoon etc, both with the cooled 350d and 200mm lens. Man i have heaps to learn the veil is 1200 seconds at iso 1600, the other is 900 seconds.

Nice images Houghy, the Veil must be one faint DSO to capture.

Still they are both nice, sharp captures.

Hi Houghy,

They look great. I really like the depth of the star field you can capture with the 300 mm lens.

I've given up at the moment. Even if i did get out there I know Sydney would trick me and after I set up the clouds would come in. I nearly went out last night as I could see heaps of sky and it's been ages since i took a photo, but really it would have been terrible, high level cloud and a full moon.

gee lovely dark sky background there. The veil looks great and lagoon/triffid look great between the starclouds

They look great Houghy. Lagoon and Trifid look good, the dark lanes set them off.

Post some more images soon, I'm sure you have other data stored away.
