I fully understand and support Mike's decision to close the "Reconciliation" thread: but just as it would have been remiss (that and far more, personally) of me not to raise the issue in the first place; I am bound to express my unabashed heart-felt joy and gratitude for the many positive and empathetic responses from people whose intellects are obviously far greater than their anxieties: especially the fella that had been mugged by young Aboriginal men on a train - the world needs you and your kind most desperately; I applaud you brother.
As a final comment on a (very)recent topic I’d like to thank all those IIS people for their affirmative expressions: for some reason it seems appropriate to come up with something that connects to our abiding passion for astronomy/star-gazing:
“to see further and more clearly, and to glimpse with more intimacy…… to explore, to understand: and if not to fully discern or comprehend, then at least to have an insight, an empathy, or respect for that which may be beyond our individual reckonings….
