Spotted Bowerbird's Bower

The neighbours cut down their hedge to reveal the local celebrity's bower, under a red hibiscus bush.

Nice find Bob. All the ones I've seen in Qld had blue decorations scattered around the bower; the local Satin Bower birds seem to use only blue in their efforts to attract the female.

When we have managed to look closer at the male and female birds through the bino’s, even their eyes were a blue colour!

And the spotted bowerbird does not like blue and discards any blue object put on their display area.
