my first mosaic...turned out pretty well i reckon.

well, here it is, my first mosaic, taken last weekend with the 350d and 2x barlow through the ED80. mosaic of 4 images, stitched together using autostich.
my processing was as follows:

Picasa2:
Greyscaled and exported at maximum quality

Autostitch:
stitched at maximum quality

PS CS3:
smart sharpen
curves

feel free to comment and mess with the image, i'm happy to provide originals to anyone that wishes to mess with them.

enjoy!

I am not a moon person. I don't like it -I don't like it at all.

But that image is very impressive.

Well done Josh!!

Appalling subject matter but a good image. How do we go about banning this subject?

I like it. A lot of fine detail on an item which is decidedly dificult to image at this size. The stitching has worked really well. You should be proud of this one.
