The sun at 300mm

Hi,

I was cleaning up the welder's mask I have and decided that I should take a photo of the sun while the dark glass from the mask was out.

The following was taken while using my Pentax *ist DS at 300mm and 1/320 exposure at ISO200.

I reckon it turned out alright, just for a bit of mucking around.

Good effort, I actually tried that once, as i figured if a welding flash wont penetrate the welding mask glass, neither will the sun, good job.

So does this shot imply that the Sun is also made of green cheese?

sunspot?

An interesting shot. Is that a sunspot? I thought the sun is extremely quiet.

Hi,

Technically I would say that I have no idea, but no real reason to believe not. Maybe I am unlucky and it is just some dust on the lens
