Objest moving at fast rate of speed through M45

Any idea guys,

No I haven't been drinking, I was just sitting staring at M45 when an object travelling left to right, botton of FOV to top through the centre of M45 at 2158 eastern daylight savings time on 25/01/08.

I'm guessing probably a satelite, no there wasn't a pair or triplet, just interested.

Chances Are A Satellite

5 will get you 10 it was a satellite, they move pretty quick through the eyepiece + the Magnification you had going at the time.

I spotted 4 high orbit satellites in Orion last night, including a tumbling geosync that kept flaring. It was moving slowly enough to track easily. There are some good web pages out there on the subject, including some interesting ways of photographing them.

The Lacrosse 4 rocket looks like a good candidate.
Might want to check the Iridiums too.

Acording to Starry night Pro, Iridium 25(satalite) is the most likely culprit.

Not little green men. At least not on starry night.
