M83 Southern Pinwheel Galaxy

Hi Guys,

Took me a few attempts to process this until im finally happy with the image.
Taken a week 1/2 ago from 10 x 5 minutes exposure at ISO 400. Overall, quite pleased how it turn out in the end as i remember was a rather coldish summer night (rare) . Second image is the actual view of the first.

Hi Res Here:

Everything in your image looks great, Eric.

Colour, focus, guiding, even framing in the FOV

Damn, how can you get away with a shot like that without getting praise heaped on you? My only complaint is that you have clear skies LOL. What a ripper result Eric, and I love the 2 galaxies captured below the main aim of the image!!

Another great image. Focus is terrific. Are those small galaxies just below M83?

many thanks all much appreciated. yes 2 small galaxies right below M83. If you look at the uncropped version, there are others also floating in the background.

Great image again Eric. I like to call M83 Lacaille's galaxy because it is the only galaxy that he found and he found it with a 0.5" refractor!
