Very thin Moon Crescent

Last night I wasn't able to image the 0.006 Phase Moon. It was too thin to show up!!!!!!

But tonight I got it. It was a bit thicker tonight

Quality is down because it was setting into a tree while I was imaging it

Lovely image, Ken! Was that with the ToUcam through the ED80? At prime focus or with a barlow?

Nice catch.
Still shows a decent tail of desegmentation at the tips, too.

A case of Fosters to the first imager who captures the entire necklace, btw.

Nice one, Ken.

Any other night I'd have had a go myself but the pressure was on getting the house ready for inspection today...

Yep, ED80 and Toucam. Prime Focus, Mike.

A mosaic of 2 images
It didn't quite fit in the FOV even with the Focal Reducer
About 3/4 of the crescent was in the FOV in each section.
