300mb plot

Ok guys, this will only realy work for tonight as the links will update as we go along.

TOnight looks realy great for me.

The anti clockwise rotation of the HIGH off the east coast will ensure winds off the ocean which is laminar (ie stable)

The 300mb plot shows pinks, which means very steady air.

and the clouds look to be staying away.

So, tonight from a purely scientific point of view lookds great for seeing (ie stable atmosphere). I have an overnight temp prediction of 12 and and mirror and ambient are currently 22 and cooling.

I would predict the seeing should be 6/10 or better

Of course, things can change!

Good luck, David.

Isn't that cloud coming in from the E-NE?

Hopefully it's just a small band of cloud.

At least your radar looks nothing like this

Somewhere underneath all that is the city of Brisbane

Well, David, I hope you're having better luck. I just got clouded out about an hour ago.
