Ninja Star NGC4361 Planetary Nebula

Hi Guys,

Took this 2 nights ago of NGC4361. Once again, ive made up the name of it as it looks like a ninja star to me. quite a weird looking thing.

7 x 3 minutes at ISO 400 .

A very interesting planetary and as you say a very unusual shape. I will have to have a look at this one as well.

A great image as well Eric, you have captured some nice colours as well into its centre.

Cheers

Gee Eric, you probably don't get much time for anything else these days, some great work of late, and all those new names as well, keep em coming.

Move over Messier and Caldwell, now presenting the EzyStyles Catalogue of Planetary Nebulae. Wack a barlow into the imaging train to see if you get some detail. What will be the next surprise target? Keep them coming. You could catalogue them in numerical order on your website.

Great photo!

Q: Shouldn't the date on your pic read 04/01/2008 and not 04/01/2008. Is it just me or do others get this mixed up as well?

I'm starting to write the date with the year listed first followed by the month then day ie. 2008/01/04.

Great pic though! Well done.

Great work as always. Ninja as in a Shuriken? One of those star thingies they use? I agree - a great name - it should stick.
