The Snake Planetary Nebula NGC5189

Hi Guys,

Took this last night. I made up the name for it as it looks like a twirled up snake

13 x 3 minutes exposure at ISO 400.

Hi Res here

A great rendition of this lovely planetary, also known as the "Spiral planetary". The colours are very intricate.

I have been told that the spiral are a result of us seeing it from side on rather than face on which results in the traditional smoke ring view.

Cheers
