Question telescope recomendation

Hi guys, just wondering what you guys would recomend...

I am not selling my dob (tho I'll trade it in on a 10"-12" tho ). What I am after is and f5-6 refractor (so we aer talking an objective lens of about 80mm-90mm) to be my grab and go scope to take on family outings and such.
as things stand now, If for example I go to my mothers place in port stephens and I take the family I cant take my scope... I have considered roping Bec to the roof but I dont think Cheryl would allow it.
I have a very limited budget for this and would consider $400 to be extravagant (but may consider it)... I'll gladly go second hand tho. I saw some on ebay but I am somewhat doubious of thier quality (will they break if I drop them). something that attaches to a camera tripod is fine.

I looked on andrews and they have a skywatcher 80x400 which is ideal in size but its $500... pushing it a bit too far. anyone got one of these? any good?

Its not f/5-6 but maybe this

Or one of these

They might not be perfect but they are a start to get you thinking.

I have read that the SkyWatcher 80X400AZ3
is quite good, 40mm fl and short; $349 at Andrews OTA Only. I was thinking of one to piggyback on the LX.
