Maybe This One is Better

Hi Guys, a couple of days ago i posted an image of Eta Carinae, and it was suggested by some of the more experienced that i had clipped the histogram to much.

Of late i have had some trouble with processing, so today because it is 40 degrees out side thought i might have another go at it and see if there is any improvement.

The image consists of 9 exposures at 2 mins each through the Tak and canon 5D, auto guided with the G11, aligned and combined in Image Plus, also DD was used in Image plus, plus some brightness and contrast.

This is an un-cropped widefield.

Please comment, either way, i need to get this right, and all comments taken on board.

Leon

Hi leon,
Histogram is unclipped in this image - and looks like you've got the black point as far as it can go without clipping...well done mate!
"By George, I think he's got it!!"
Happy New Year by the way mate!

Whew, do you reckon Doug. now all i have to do is have another go at it and give it some more exposure time, that one was only 2 mins each sub, probably could have gone more.

And all the best to you and your family Doug, hope the 2008 is good to you all.

Bit late mate, I'm already set up and ready to go, it's 21 degrees now from a stinker 40 earlier today. I'll be looking for your lazer light.

They reckon it will drop to about 16 later tonight.
