Deepsky2000?

Does anyone use or has usged Deepsky2000 and have nay feedback on it befor I shell some $$.

I am mostly interested in the logging and data lookup rather than star charts and have no interest in having it drive a Goto mount.

I use Stellarium as sky chart which togther with my 2008 almanac does that job really well. But the logging, search and planning features look quite cool. I gather it is mostly a spreadshet on steriods with some additional features.

Any feedback would be great

Tony

I'd recommend Astroplanner over Deepsky2000 (I own and have used both and I haven't used Deepsky in years but Astroplanner gets used more than once every day)

Cheers

I'm with David. A paid for DS2000 but found it difficult to use. AP on the other hand is fantastic (and also does those other things you don't need - yet). Support is brilliant, and Paul has made several improvements as a result of requests I have made. And the price is brilliant. But get is soon - V2 will see a slight invrease in the price I gather.
