New Pier in Mini Observatory

Here it is, folks!!!

Notice the black tape over the foot adjuster to prevent cables from hooking on it. Now they just slip up and over it

The giant hole in the floor is so the pier sits on concrete

Ken

How do you fit in there? Is it remote control only? Is it a observatory on wheels? Are you amazingly thin?

Looks really good Ken. Is the pier more rigid than the tripod?

Puts a whole new meaning on 'not enough room to swing a CAT' but I think in your case an 8" CAT would be OK.

So far it is. The first thing I notice is that I don't have to grab a Tripod leg to slide around in there to Polar align any more. One occasion I grabbed a tripod leg to pull myself in and the leg slid down
Now I can snake around in there without legs in the way
