jupiter 27/06

here's a couple of jupiter tonight LPI through ED80, single frames- unprocessed.

not bad mick , I took this one earlier tonight with my camera, its a blob with three small blobs just visible

That's getting better Mick! I have to ask though, you've posted several "single shot unprocessed" images taken through the LPI - is there any reason you're doing what the LPI was designed for?

That is, taking many frames and choosing the best ones, stacking them and automatically processing them? You don't need knowledge of registax or anything else if you use the LPI's inbuilt software.

to be honest l haven't even looked at the software processing yet, l will get to it shortly but at the moment the seeing has been so good here that l'm more interested in having a good look around the skies and just take a few pics as l'm going, l'm going to get further into photography but will set up with something like an s-big and autoguider, for the moment l can marvel at your shots.
