Auction, Proceeds to IIS

Hi All. Items Sold, Thank You

Recently I was given free of charge two Meade telescopes, with tripods, and Autostar Hand Controllers, plus a third Hand Controller

These units are brand new, and have never been used, but are shop soiled stock, and some bits are missing, and broken, but would be handy for parts or someone willing to repair them.

The damage is minor, on both units.

First we have a Meade 70mm Refractor and tripod, and controller, the only thing wrong with this unit is that the teeth on the racking focuser are worn in one spot.
I have noticed that they are plastic, and presume that it was tried many times in the shop while locked, hence the teeth were broken off.

The second is a 4 inch reflector, which actually is quite good, however the clamp that holds it to the mount arm is missing, you will see what i mean in the pics below, and the battery compartment cover is missing.

It would be easy enough to make one good unit out of the pair of them.

I would prefer that both units go at the same time to reduce postage, which the winner will have to cover, pick up is also welcome, and any funds raised will be given to Mike, at IIS.

So if you need them, or can fix them, have a bid.

Bidding closes on Sunday evening at 6.00 pm.

Any questions please PM me, and i will see if i can answer them.

To the winning bidder, I will be glad to pack and post them for you, if you will cover the postage cost.

Lets start at 20.00 dollars the lot, and see what happens.

Leon

Sorry, just an edit to this post, although not heavy, I expect because of the size of the postage box, the cost for postage could range between 30 - 40 dollars, that is just a guess.

Ok Guys and Gals only about six hours left on this auction, so if you could do with this stuff you had better put your bids in quickly.

I am sure Mike, and Ice In Space, will enjoy your Very Generous Donation.

Now,Eagerly waiting, for my new Scopes, etc.

At Least I am eager,

Gee John, that may be OK for now, but what will happen when that big box arrives on your doorstep.

Hi Leon,
No Problem Mate,
I will point out the size of the box
And tell her how lucky she is to have a husband, that shops for bargains.

Cheers.

Thumbs up

Hi All,

I would like to thank LEON,for the INCREDIBLY fast postage, with ALL items,as shown in the pics.

His Donation to "Ice In Space",is INMHO Extremely Generous,
Considering,he could have sold these elsewhere, and made a huge profit.

My Bid,on the Auction was based on the goto mounts,

Which Hopefully,I can fit to my ED80,and Vixen/Tasco 8V.(On Piers),

Already,made one of the Adapters.

It was the best "Value for Money Auction",and one of the most generous Gestures,I have ever seen.

Thanks again Leon.

Regards.
