In the year 2040 the world will end

Now I have your attention, no I very much doubt the world will end, but I am sure the alarmists of the time will tell you that when the planetary alignment of 8 September happens.

The Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars Jupiter and Saturn will form a tight 10 degree circle in the evening sky just after sunset.

I can hardly wait.

Suggest you all put it in your diaries.

Now that's a great imaging opportunity.

I could've got all 8 planets last night if I had a good view of the sky.. Jupiter just after sunset, Neptune and Uranus in the West, Mars, Saturn, Venus and Mercury in the morning. Oh and the earth at my feet.

Hmm was Mercury visible? I can't remember.

Huh! Too bad that the earth will have already been destroyed by some massive cataclysm on Dec 21st 2012 when the Mayan calendar ends - it sure sounds a pretty sight.

Geez, at 83 I don't think I'll be running outside to have a look (if I'm still around).

But it won't matter coz the space traveling Planet 'Nibiru' and it's inhabitants the 'Annanaki' will be here way before then: http://www.2012.com.au/Nibiru.html

Hi All,

Well, so-long as it doesn't all happen before the 2028 total solar eclipse that cuts exactly through the heart of Sydney -- the travel involved in that one will be arduous -- walk outside the back-door on to the patio and look north-northwest! Can't wait for that one (well actually I can wait and God willing I will).

Gee there are a lot of people who have commented on this thread that are very nearly the same age as me -- I'll be 78 when that "super-conjunction" occurs in 2040.

Re Nibiru: Ken, it won't matter whether "Nibiru" gets here before then -- for many years I've made a point of being nice to the lizards just in case, despite the fact that the lizards advocate unbounded cruelty to their sworn mammalian enemies -- the whales. So, when Nibiru "uncloaks", I'll already be "on the inner" with Marduk, Enki and Anu (whoever is in power at the time).

Actually, if we are really nice to them, maybe we can persuade Marduk and the Annanaki to park Nibiru in the right spot so we can have a total eclipse every month (or even every day!)

Best,

Les D
