Japan takes first High-def images of the moon

This is taken from Japan's first effort at sending a probe to the moon. They had a high-def video camera on board. Link to photos.

Wow - how cool is this? Good on the Japanese for getting out there.

The moving image is fantastic - but a bit slow in the streaming department. Let it get to near the end and move the position cursor back to near the start and it then plays ultra-smoothly. Wonderful!!

Some great images and so clear, almost like looking out of your window.

I wonder how long it will be until we get images of the Apollo landing sites?

Cheers

They will never have photos of the apollo sites, cuz the US never had men land on the moon.
Its been awhile now that the Japanese have had it up in space, youd think one of the first things they would do is take pics of where those americans planted the flag and what not.....But they didnt cuz there was none, and the US prolly has had a talk with there govt about it too........

If you look at image 3 it says the center forward crater is 107km across so at that scale it would be impossible to see something as small as the base of the lunar lander.

No they didn't, that's completely correct!
They were all too busy on the mobile Planet Nibiru with its inhabitants, getting ready for its flyby

Why would the Japanese image the US flag? Why would they want to promote the opposition in the Space Race. If they put a Japanese Flag there we would see lots of pics of it. But it would be a mere micro-dot at that orbiting distance.
