The Tarantula in Oxygen !!

Subject: Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070)
Date: 12Nov07 a.m. AEST.
Scope: Meade SN-8" Astronomik Oxygen O-III Filter
Camera: Canon 350D unmodified
Exposure: 15x1 mins ISO1600
Mount: LXD-75 autoguided (Orion 80ED guidescope, MaxDSLR software)

Have you ever wondered why the Tarantula appears blue-green in our pics with an unmodified DSLR? Well with this much going on around the O-III wavelength it's no wonder at all.
