SOLD: William Optics 7x50 finder + bracket

I bought this new with the Megrez but have decided I prefer the red dot finder for the grab and go convenience.

The finder is straight through with correct image (not inverted).
It has adjustable focus and illuminated reticle.
It has long eye relief and foldable eye cup.

The finder bracket is the new next generation version with quick release mount. Very high quality with plastic tipped adjusting screws.

Price is $200 for both including postage in Australia. I prefer to sell them together. I will accept money order or internet bank transfer.

More info and pictures on the William Optics website.

Please send a PM if you are interested. Sold

Andy,

What mount are you using with the Megrez 90? How does the finder affect the balance?

Hi Morton

I'm using a Vixen Porta which is pretty good for general use, perhaps a bit too light weight when observing over 100x as the vibration takes a little while to settle when focusing. I like the slow motions and convenience of it though. The finder doesn't make a lot of difference. A 31t5 upsets the balance more but it doesn't seem to matter at the low power (20x). I prefer the red dot finder because it will slot into the Megrez case in the little eyepiece hole in the foam.

Here is a picture showing how the finder fits on the telescope. It could mount on the other side so that the focuser knobs can be horizontal. I chose to set it up this way so that the scope can fit in the case without having to rotate the focuser every time I set it up. Hope that makes sense.

The bracket could be mounted to most telescopes not just WO.
