Sunset Lake Macquarie 11/11/2007 with the moon and Jupiter
Well I be buggered, the clouds cleared as if God waived his pinkie and they all disappeared. it was the first "clear" afternoon for many months, so after feeding the family I asked permission to go and take some happy sunset snappies. i was going to have a go for comet leonos but I couldn't find the rotten thing. Came home and just looked up SNP and found out I was looking at it all along - pity its not very bright so those who have great shots of this comet you deserve a huge pat on the back for your efforts.
Widefields done with f2.8 20-40 sigma lens on the pentax k10D the close up of the moon with the 200mm F2.8 on the canon 400D. both on a fixed tripod

Great shots there. Youre right on the area where Comet leonos is, Ive indicated the approx spot. Might be visible on the full sized pics

one note to all - those widefield shots you see are not all the same some have the thin crescent moon.
