I'm all set up for a look at the East, found a spot next to the fence where the darn street light is behind the houses. Next door has just decided to go out to the garage, spotlight on the house shining right in my eyes, looks about 250 watts. Grrrrrrr!!!
Oh well, maybe they'll go to bed soon.

A number of our club just came back from The Oaks after wall-to-wall cloud hung over us from dusk till 9:30pm. It's quite a trip out there from home so we weren't too happy packing up.

As soon as we'd gone through the entire procedure and started out the gates to head home...voila - crystal clear sky.

We kept going.......

It was beautiful and clear at home tonight, and up till 9pm on my way to work. I'm hoping it's clear around 1:00am so I can sneak out for a look at Holmes, if I can find a good spot with a view to the North.

I wish this building had access to the roof.

I'm beginning to think the only way I'm going to get to eyeball comet Holmes is just before it impacts my front yard.

yep you are not wrong about it being dewy - everything was wet when I packed up - acutally it was wet 30 minutes after i brought out the scope and gear last night. So what did you image Lee?

Spent a hour or two on the tarantula, had to try out the new Outback which arrived on Friday
Happy with the luminance frames, but I think she started dewing about then, so the RGB frames were ordinary - didn't think to check the objective until I had finished and was going to shoot some longer exposures..... rookie mistake!
Just made a dew heater from some nichrome wire though.... bring on the dew!
Did you get anything h0ughy???
