Rough afternoon

How much bad luck can you have in one afternoon.

I nipped down to town to buy a few supplies and copped a stone through the Crewmans windscreen for my effort. I then got home and jumped onto the main computer to find a windscreen repairer only to be greeted by a terminally dead CRT monitor.

So $500 later I now have a new windscreen and a new monitor but my poor old astro-goody fund has taken a severe dent just as I was about to make a purchase.

However I can recommend Novus windscreens, they were out within an hour of calling them and had the new windscreen in within the hour with a lifetime guarantee while we own the car against leakages and a very nice job they did as well.

Lets hope tomorrow is a better day.

Cheers

I was going to purchase a wedge Jeanette, but that will be on hold until the new year now.

Sounds a bit like my day, Ric.

7:00am found that my dogs have destoyed my tent,
4:00pm I had to pick up my son from Ballarat Railway Station only to find I had to take another kid home coz his parents couldn't turn up,
got home to a massive Bill in the mail
went out to have ANOTHER attempt to repair the ripped tent only to find that the dogs had relieved themselves inside it,
the new tent I bought later this afternoon has a ripped bag,

but the good point is that today only has 3 minutes to go!!!!!!

What else can happen in 3 minutes????

Hi Ken, my father used to have a saying which is very apt for the both of us.

"Some days are diamonds and others are coal"

Ain't that the truth!

When I did Ministry in Melbourne to homeless kids they often used to say 'My life is sh*t'

The leader of the organisation used to say to them "ya know, there's nothing better than a good pile of sh*t to make things grow"

I never forgot that message.

So when the chips are down, I know I will learn and grow from the experience.

What did I 'learn and grow' from today? DON'T LET MY DOGS NEAR A TENT!

A good saying Ken, I'll have to remember that one.
