A personal motivation. I normally walk around and about one kilometre each day - briskly. Sometimes I add a 'short and sweet' at the end (that's an SAS course to you lot). No, I'm not puffing and panting, it's just my calfs (calves?) that are screaming for mercy as I approach the final hurdle. On this image it is impossible to judge the rise, nor can you see the final motivator (a set of ten or so steps). Once the dizzy heights are attained though it's all down hill to home.
