Stockport and Dugnsuz

We made a quick trip to SA last week to stay with friends. They live in Hamley Bridge 80k's north of Adelaide and they're 5 mins from Stockport Observatory.

They had arranged for us to go along to a members meeting at the observatory last Saturday to meet everyone and check out the equipment there. Unfortunately the skies were clouded in and the meeting was called off. It was such bad luck as the skies were clear on Friday and Sunday nights.

Anyway we managed to take some daytime shots

"Did you get your marathon session in last night ??"

Hi David and Barb,

Set up everything, laptop etc - the lot!! Only to watch an unmovable blanket of cloud roll in as I was drift aligning!!! Stuck it out glimpsing the star through tiny gaps in the cloud for an hour or so before giving up the ghost! Thick cloud was there in the morning and...(after a quick look out the back door!)...is still there now 7:23pm Sunday - Bugger.
Not the best of weekends - I gave away a very clear Friday night as I was tired from the stresses of the working week.
Ce'st la vie and och aye the noo to you too!!!!
