Inspired by Leon's Photo of Cold Ballarat.

Leon's photo of how cold it got around Ballarat really caught my eye and I was drawn to it's interesting content.

I'd asked Leon's permission to have a bit of a play with his original image (on the right) as I wanted to try a technique called "High Key" processing (left image).

This involves pushing the highlights so that they're almost blown and adjusting the levels to give a high contrast in the image, yielding an almost surreal look to it.

This may not appeal to all and is more of a form of art than anything, so have a look and see what you think.

Thanks for the opportunity to work with your image Leon.

It looks even colder than the first image.
I might use it as my desk top image this Summer.
