Corona Australis with the 300mmf2.8 lens from Bert

Hi all.
Did Corona Australis area with the 300mmf2.8 flourite lens. Some moon present tried last night but high cloud killed it.

9x5mins iso400. uv/ir filter in back of lens, stopped down to f4. Hand guided. Processed with dark flats and offet in Iris as usual, finioshed off in Photoshop. Had to use Gradient Xterminator plugin as there was a definite gradient towards the west.

I can only imagine what the same setup could do under a dark country sky.

Yes a dark sky is the only way to go really deep with this object. nebula filters just dont work well with the broadband emissions as they do with emission line stuff

looks very nice! its a rather hard target to show the fainter dust clouds well especially with any LP.
Well done!
