no serious!
Its the ghost of jupiter neb!
point, click, process(brightnes and contrast).

its actually got to be the brightest planetary nebular out there... ok so theres no detail, but even thru an ep i see no more than a bright blob.

I was just mucking around and thought 'hey its pretty darn bright, I'll give it a shot'.
the camera tho afocal is not hand held. I had the aperature as open as posible and iso on 400. I was suprised that anything came out.

its not the first DSO I've done tho. Ive done m42, omega cent, tuc47, and few few open clusters... I dont have tracking so my shots are often blured fuzzes of 1.2 sec exposure

Good onya ving. That's what it's all about. Pushing the limits. You never know you might be after a tracking platform soon We'll make an EQer out of you yet.

Nice shot Ving, I couldn't see it either until I tried John's trick. but it's there allright. (averted vision???). I wonder what would happen if you took a few and stacked? Don't bother saving up for an EQ6 Ving, Striker's got one coming up for sale any time now.....

I did the same thing. Brought the levels right up. I circled it in case you still can't see it!
