Stormy Monday

Monday night we had 4 storms go through in about the space of a couple of hours..

Here's a couple of pics..

The night shots were 15s exposure @ ISO200. Orion can be seen in bits and pieces in the nighttime ones.. the storm clouds themselves don't look that great because I couldn't see the base of the storm, it was just the clouds lighting up when the lightning flashed.

hey iceman, those were the storms I was talking about in the other thread over in "will the weather gods..." I guess I should have wrote about it here eh? It actually started hailing in the city (Sydney) on Monday. THe storm followed us home and hailed on us again about halfway. The car is fine though, thank goodness. Visibility was an absolute shocker! I've never seen such FAT rain drops come down so hard and fast before.
Nice pics of the storm too Ice. It pretty much sums up the weather since summer started. I really like the shot of orion through the clouds.
