solar view at lunchtime today

clicked this one off at lunch today. Usual setup, pentax *istDS 2x teleconverter, sigma 50 -500 lens and a thousand oaks filter.

I am afraid that photography through the PST is nearly imposible, hard to get focus and detail.

btw nice pic! Might have to get out the solar filter if these clouds ever go away.

So thats what it looks like, man we haven't seen it for a while. In fact all we have had for the last few days is fog, just like the Saturday morning at Taupo (you know what I mean Pau?).

That is a very nice image indeed Mr. Houghy, considering your non-use of a telescope! You have captured the internal structure of these spots very nicely - I am impressed!

Why thank you Mr Dennis Its a big lens, a great little DSLR, oh and a complete idiot behind the shutter. That's the making of a great photo????
