Equinox

The Sun will set due west next Sunday night and rise due east on Monday morning. The Equinox is at 7:51 pm AEST on Sunday night 23/9. The Sun will then move slowly towards 23.44 degrees south on the Solstice, 22/12.

Move North? Won't it be moving South (ie: towards our summer and higher in our sky)?

Looking forward to summer! It's getting really light in the mornings now though.. venus is shining brilliantly before dawn.

Yes I think DST should go from equinox to equinox (approx). It starts on 28/10, that is too late IMO.
I like the long clear winter and spring nights. Looked at Mars and Venus with the 12" this morning.
