Celestron 4" Maksutov-Cassegrain OTA

Hi All,

I have a Celestron 4" Maksutov-Cassegrain OTA for sale. This OTA is from an Celestron NexStar 4GT. It is in good conditions and has only one scratch on the tube. The optics is pristine without any scratches or similar and has very few dust.

It comes with the tube rings you see in the pictures.

The scope is quite versatile, you can connect a camera to it or if you ad a erection prism you have a very powerful spotting scope (you need adapter from Celestron for it). It would also make an excellent guiding scope.

I sell it for $350 ono. + postage unless you pick-up in Newcastle.

Thanks for looking.

Stephan

PS. I can take more pictures on request.

Okay, LAST CALL ! ! !

I will reduce the price to $290 + postage.

For that you get the OTA with your choice of either the tube rings (pic's above) or the dovetail rail (pic's below).

For an extra $40 you can have the 45 degree image erection prism.

If the OTA is not sold by Monday night, I will withdraw it from sale.

Clear Skies !

Stephan

Stephan,

Might make a nice little grab and go scope for me or a present for my brother.

Three Questions

1. Can you confirm scratches are on the tube body - not the lens
2. What's the postage likely to be to get it from Newcastle to Sydney?
3. What's the focal length?

The financial controller is back on Sunday lunch - so I can probably lock it in Sunday arvo for you if that works. Don't need prisms, would prefer tube rings over dovetails.

If you get a confirmed buyer before then just say yes, cause I already have a 70mm and 127mm MAK and also a 80mm refractor - and my wife will probably think I'm breeding scopes if this keeps up.

Cheers - you here definitive from me by Sunday late

Hi,

To your questions:

1. There are absolutely no scratches on the lens.
2. Postage to Sydney is $16.55 (registered and insured)
3. 1325mm

Sunday arvo is fine with me!

Cheers,

Stephan

Stephan,

My wife has approved the purchase - so PM or e-mail me your payment details - can do an online transfer if you like - and I'll get it organised (once the financial controller shows me how to do online payments!)

I'll send you postal instructions and we're all set - thanks.

Arrived safe and sound - figuring what backing to use at the back of the OTA to attach a standard small prism - its is a 1.25" diammeter ring needed - I can't find where I put the calipers!
