* 3rd Birthday Competition!
The IceInSpace 3rd Birthday Competition is only a week away! The quiz will be launched on the 13th September at 9am (AEST).
The 3rd birthday competition is now also to celebrate 2 milestones - turning 3 years old, and passing 3000 registered members. It's a fantastic achievement for the IceInSpace community.

* Total Lunar Eclipse Wrap-Up
The Total Lunar Eclipse was absolutely spectacular - I hope you had clear skies in your part of the world and managed to experience the event.
The event was huge for IceInSpace! It was our busiest day, ever, and we smashed our own previous records in every department. I'd like to welcome all the new members that discovered IceInSpace while looking for information about the Lunar Eclipse. We hope you enjoy your stay and visit regularly.

* Site Updates
A few other minor updates to tell you about:
- Thread Thumbnail Previews. In the imaging forums, registered members can now click a link to Show Thread Thumbnails, which will display a thumbnail of the attached image in the thread listing view.
- Geolocator in profile. When you edit your profile, you can select your location using a geolocator. Just enter your street address and it will find your co-ordinates. You can drag the marker to tweak the result, and there are privacy options to protect your exact location if you wish.
Entering your correct location is important for personalised information and other features on IceInSpace, including moon/sun rise and set times and more. You can edit your profile here: http://www.iceinspace.com.au/editprofile
- Image attachment guidelines.
The size restrictions for image attachments has been updated. In general, images can now be 200kb instead of the previous 150k. For more information, see: http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=23675
