For sale a New In Box and never used (box was opened to make sure all parts were there) a 6 inch Skywatcher brand Dobsonian mounted Newtonian Reflector.
This was a door prize won by my son at a Star Party
However, it is a scope that we do not need since we already own 8 and 12.5 inch reflectors...
As mentioned before this item has never been out of the box so I can not speak to the quality of the optics.
This would make a great first scope for a youngster interested in the hobby.
This f8 scope (150 mm X 1200 mm) comes with a finderscope (and mount) and appears to accept 2 inch and 1.25 inch eyepieces. It has a Rack and Pinion focuser and includes two eyepieces 10 mm and 25 mm plossls of unknown make.
The dobsonian base box has been unopened...but I believe that it has the Skywatcher "adjustagrip" tightening mechanism to attach it to the dob base (not the GSO spring method). The Optical tube is white...
I believe that this scope sells for AUD$395 at MyAstroShop and AUD$495 at York Optical respectively...where pictures and more detail can be found...
We (mostly my son) are asking AUD$300 for local Sydney pick-up..
Although I am not too keen to ship this item (two boxes)...if it does not sell locally, we would consider arranging shipping at buyer cost.
