lunar practice run (kind of)

well i got sick of the screw on t-ring adapter i have had to use with my focuser since the 2" 'slide in' version wouldn't reach focus.

after moving the mirror as far as i could up the tube using the collimation screws this is the result with the focuser at the end of its in focus.
it still looks a touch soft on the moon and still no go on anything else.
looks like i have to stick with the screw on bits till i get a new focuser.

on another note, i guess this image shows just how wide the field is with the 400d at prime focus

thanks guys but i cheated with unsharp mask
the full size image looked a touch soft off the camera

since it didnt really work as planned i guess ill re-collimate further back the tube again and make do with the screw on fittings until i get a 10:1 low profile.

i guess all we can do is hope the skies are clear for the big event!
i missed the last one due to clouds so id be a bit upset if it was the same with this one.
