So, kinda getting back into astronomy now i'm on a big fat $9.70 an hour at work and earning upwards of $100 a week;

I've never REALLY got into astronomy, and people that know me will remember that. But I've never understood the purpose and use of some of the different equipments out there. It makes me feel pretty clueless.

Is there somewhere i can look to get an idea of what different things do?

I'll look into it. I'm really busy with school now, as I'm in the busiest part of year 11 and trying to cope (drowning :/)

Since I'm 16 now my parents have slackened off with a lot of things so I have more freedom.
