the flare in the art work was an experiment to get diffraction spikes via Photoshop Elements filters .. render ..lens flare. Well what else do you do when you only got three dogs to pat..???
Thanks Kevin, I actually have a "star" filter (70mm) which will do the job but I have not got around to using it yet.. dam I wasnt going to say anything and surprise everyone with some wild spikes

Which galaxy was this? You wide field shots with the 80ST are really nice. You are inspiring me to think of starting to do some basic astrophotography with my 80ST
Thanks for the encouragement.
Darren its m83 I think, and Ving my first spiral side on I should say I did M31 and M104 some time back. Why dont you try tracking with your large scope shoot thru the 80mm and guiding should be a breeze.. thats my next project the 80mm on my 150 ar and foto thru each in turn.. But I,m happy I,m way past where I thought I could be with this stuff. What surprises me is being able to get a gallaxy with a small scope not big deal to someone who knows what can be done but wow to think with a $200 scope you can do this (with $2000 of camera) is so cool.
