"The Dish" in the fields

Here's a couple of images I've gotten around to processing from my trip to Parkes.

These were taken on Sunday morning, after the fog had mostly cleared.

Thanks, more images in the next few days I hope.

This is an image of the original display console they used for the movie, (The Dish.), the base ball bat above the console, was given to the Australian people as a gift by the Americans for their assistance given by the establishment during the Moon Landing mission.

Excellent shots Mike - just the way I remember it from nearly 30 years ago. I must get back there with Jenny for a pilgrimage one day. The last time we visited a large-ish telescope was after a drive and walk up some hill called Palomar or something.

Cheers
Chris
