hello cockie!

yup, can you tell i am enjoying this new camera?

if anyone is in the market for a DSLR i can thoroughly recommend the nikon d40
(doesnt sound like an advert does it?

had 19 of these buggers wake me up. i got so mad i shot them... with the camera of course

Wow you get up early, around 2 pm according to the EXIF data !

oh yeah, sorry these ones didnt wake me up... well they might have but came back in the arvo.... stop pickin on me

these were taken in the afternoon obviously but they were there in the morning too. i have morning shots as well but they dont look as good.

Great photo's. It always amazes me how beautiful something as common as a cockatoo can look, if the right person is holding the camera. Your shots are so crisp and vibrant. well done!!!

I guess if you have grown up with the noisy critters it might be different, but I have been quite captivated with viewing the Aussie birds since I've moved here.

...but then again, maybe the sight of a grey squirrel might fascinate some of you blokes too (as it did my Aussie wife a few years ago)!
