Centaurus A,

Due to condensation, high haze or other Sundays nights effort was not as successful as i had hoped.

However i did happen to capture Centaurus A, and although small i quite like it.

Canon 300mm F/2.8 lens, on G11, 10 exposures @ 40 Sec's, unguided, processed in Image Plus, no cropping.

Good shooting Leon, the colour and structure are nicely seen.

How much do you use 'Sharpen' as the stars look a tiny fraction over-sharpened? Or it could be an effect from reducing the image for posting.

Nice one, Leon

That galaxy and dust lane look very crisp.

Good stuff Leon. It would be interesting to determine what the FOV is arcmins or degrees so you can start looking at pairing objects for some super wide field views. Look forward to seeing more. What has happen to your guiding plans? You need to look at going deeper.

Great shot for a 400 sec image, Leon.
Would have been a corker if the condensation didn't interfere.

Once you get guiding on you'll be set !

Keep them coming mate.

Thank You Guys, it is slowly coming together, and Jase I haven't forgotten about auto guiding, as we speak, some stuff is on the way from Shoestring Astronomy, cables and stuff, i have the guide scope, and am looking into the guide camera, so i expect it wont be long, all i have to do is learn how to drive it all.

Have the Lappy ready with some software loaded.

I'm sure that all the learning will come in time, with the assistance from all you good people on IIS.

Cheers Leon

Very nice image Leon, lots of detail in it as well.
I can't help but think how lonely it looks in the vastness of space.

Cheers
