Neptune and Triton

Here's a shot with the GSTAR-EX at 24X integration and 2500mm fl.

I couldn't see the moon through the eyepiece - the seeing was not up to it, but was stunned how easily the camera picked it up. If it remains clear, i'll try and get some shots over the next few nights and put together an animation.

I hadn't realised there was another moon nearly in shot untill i looked at starry night - I must have a go as 18.5 mag is easily within grasp with this camera!

Excellent imaging, you have captured Neptunes moon perfectly. Good luck with the animation, that will be something to look forward to.

I've been looking to start imaging Uranus, Neptune and Pluto while we are in the dark sky period but alas the weather has other ideas.

Cheers

Rubbish night - poor transparency, shocking seeing and windy too. Anyway, here's two nights side by side!
