A question regarding halos

Hello all.

When imaging, I tend to get halos in my images. Now, I don't mind halos although it can make processing a bit of a PITA.

If I had halos in my OII and SII images, and some times in my green and blue, with Lum and Ha having undetectable halos (I'm not saying they aren't there, I cannot see them is all), would that be my imaging train or the filters themselves.

I'm trying to decide if I need to pull my scope apart or not. I have another flattener to try, although I think the spare flattener is spare because it causes flaring issues from stars outside of the field. I'm trying to remember if it was caused when I changed the flattener, although it is over 5 years ago that the imaging train was assembled.

Any thoughts appreciated.
