Telescope System

A high quality telescope, eyepieces, and a quality go-to mount, all for home use, or for travel to remote sites.

The telescope, is a virtually new Takahashi FOA-60Q which is two telescopes in one, short barrel for lower magnification, with the extender module for high. The short barrel can be used on a tripod with the erecting diagonal for terrestrial viewing. Magnification from 15x to 300x in 16 steps with 3 high quality 36mm and 8-24mm Baader plus a Celestron Luminos 19mm, all 2” eyepieces, and 1.25” Teleview 3-6mm. Plus many items of value accumulated over the years.

The Vixen SPHINXPRO (SXP) equatorial mount with the Starbook 10 Controller is designed for up to 16kg astrographs. It was the top of the line when purchased, and is the only controller that I could ever use straight off. The current $7,000 SXP2 upgrade still uses the Starbook 10. Included is the Vixen tripod, plus an adapter for the SXP to a pillar, with a Vixen half pillar for a higher mount position in an observatory.

Replacement costs of everything is around $13,000, asking $4,000, which is only a bit more than the new telescope alone. One owner, everything purchased new. Southern NSW. Can send more detailed pics if needed
