20th June 2025 Sunspots

20th June.
Some nice sunspots at the moment even though we have passed solar maximum. This image is a single exposure of 1/200 sec taken with a Canon 550d camera attached to a 81 mm WO refractor with a Herschel wedge set at 540 nm. Regards to all.

Grouse details indeed John, I do like these type images that give Sun-Spots the visually realistic view, brings back some good memories actually

Looking at a recent Solar Max Plot-Graph over the last few decades recently showed most Maximums having two Peaks, soo maybe see what gives in another 6 months ? Might be another Carrington Event Yet
