Crimson Rosella

I saw this chap - a Crimson Rosella - on a tree branch outside my house. They have a quite melodious birdsong and this guy was enjoying him/herself in the afternoon sun, chirping and warbling away.

Lovely photo!

They are beautiful birds, we get quite a group of them at the local plaza in trees out front of the car park, they love the tree seeds or nuts, I'm not even sure what type of trees they are but I know I have so much of them dropped on my car after the birds get into them. I cant remember if I've even taken a decent camera down to photograph them, my phone camera is crap.

I'm in Coffs harbour and have seen both pale-headed and crimson rosellas in my backyard. I always love seeing either/both!

My parents in the lockyer valley get Pale-headed rosellas quite often!
