We are not from the Milky Way ... once upon a time

http://curezone.com/blogs/m.asp?f=1207&i=2

Came across this interesting site, haven't heard much about this theory. I like the bit about global warming being the result of alignment with the galactic plain 'because it's hotter in this region ... '

hhhhmmmmm I would have thought space being a big place and that temperature and radiation differences (in background space) between where we have been (over the last few thousand years and where exactly we will be in 2012) with respect to the alignment with the galactic plain of the Milky Way would be very little since in the bigger picture of the whole galaxy we have practically been almost in line with it for a very long time already. From the way this article reads we are traveling very fast over very great distances (by a very big factor) to notice dramatic changes on our planet within the last 50 years as a result of alignment with the galactic plain of the Milky Way Galaxy, I'm not convinced this alignment is having as dramatic an affect as suggested. I also like the drama around us travelling in one direction which is reported to be a 90° right angle to the spinning direction of the Milky Way arm we are 'merging' with which is supposedly going to change our direction of travel by 90° and presumably how the Milky Way appears in the sky ..... and all this by 2012. Well that's surely going to bugger my alignment attempts.

Here's an even more interesting (and accurate) read (note, both of these sites specifically address the bad science being presented as fact by these pathetic webpages such as http://viewzone.com/milkyway.html ):
