Hobbit doco tomorrow
I don't watch TV so I would have missed this show. The
film 'The Hobbit Enigma' will screen on ABC1 at 8.30pm, Tuesday 4th November. I don't know anything about it except that the announcement that it is on came from Mike Morewood who was the chief investigator on the dig that discovered the 'Hobbit', so I assume it was made with his co-operation.
BTW if anyone wants to start a discussion along the lines that 'it's only a deformed modern human' may I suggest you do some reading. That will save me having to write lengthy rebuttals to discredited scuttlebutt. For now I'll just note- the proponents of the microencepilatic theory had not seen the remains when they proposed it.
- the anatomical differences are not confined to the cranium but include construction of the teeth, shoulder, wrist, hand, pelvis, shin and foot.
- they have found 7 individuals displaying these characteristics, spanning > 50,000 years but no normal modern human remains
cheers,
David
