Messier 45 The Pleiades

The image was compiled from sixty 60-second exposures taken with a Sharpstar EDPH61II refractor, an ASI2600MCPro Duo and a ZWO AM5 mount

Nice one! Plenty of whispy areas. How much of a crop did you use.

I might get this one with the Zeestar tonight. Clearing weather is due to me dismounting my telescopes..

Whats caused the diffraction pattern?

Cheers

The image is about 30 per cent of the original field. I'm not sure about the spikes - I suspect there is a light leak somewhere in the train.

Wow, thats a large FOV with the 61mm scope.
I cant get the whole of M45 in one field and I'm disappointed now.
Much distortion at the edges?

Wouldnt the diffraction pattern indicate something more in the line of a physical obstruction like people with a RASA get with their cable unless its nicely curved? More of a spider vane sort of thing. Funny enough your diffraction pattern is what I see in the Seestar.

You'll probably get a nice blue running man nebula.

Cheers

Here is a full-field shot. There is a slight elongation of the stars at the top-right corner, but otherwise pretty good:
