I went on a tour of the ancient temples of Central Thailand. Theres so much history in that area, and a lot is preserved in the temples. The ancient city in Ayutthaya is 1600 years old and is in fact 3 seperate cities, each built on the ruins of the previous. Theres 3 distinct architecture types that can be seen in the remaining ruins. In the picture i was fascinated by how the jungle is starting to reclaim it all. I'd like to go back and see some more one day, especially the northen regions and surrounding areas.

Wow! Some great photos of some great sites appearing. Makes my humble offering of a local church seem a bit lame .

Here is another shot I took of the Potala Palace in 2003. This one was taken from the roof of the Jokhang (Lhasa cathedral). My photo's don't do the Potala any justice at all.

Both images were scanned from prints.

Such great photos. I went to dust some off, but on seeing the quality shots posted, it would be rather embarrassing. In time......I've have something worth offering.
